Why Crossroads Is For You

Solidly Biblical

The Bible is the heart and core of every educational program at Crossroads. We believe it to be the inspired, inerrant, authoritative Word of God, the all-sufficient source of truth. Theologically, Crossroads is conservative and evangelical, which means your Christian faith will not be attacked but built up. We affirm the historic fundamentals held by all true Christians, regardless of denomination, through the ages.

Godly Atmosphere

At Crossroads we are persuaded that what we are is as important as what we know. Therefore we place much effort in developing Christ-like character and a servant's heart. You will be challenged to live a balanced, mature, consistent Christian life.

Cross-Cultural Fellowship

With a racially integrated board, administration, faculty, staff, and student body, Crossroads is a national leader in modeling and promoting multiethnic ministry. At Crossroads you will learn to appreciate the heritages and cultures of those different from yourself and develop a love for all people.

Academic Excellence

Crossroads provides caring individualized attention and support of your academic pursuits. Every full-time faculty member has at least a master’s degree as well as many years of Christian ministry experience. They live what they teach.

Unique Emphases

Training Christian Leaders to Reach a Multiethnic Urban World for Christ—that's not just an empty slogan at Crossroads. We are committed to the city and to biblical racial reconciliation. Blended with these are our strong emphasis upon expository preaching/teaching, biblical counseling, discipleship, and church planting.

Evangelism and Missions

We believe the "Great Commission" defines the primary mission of the Church. Thus, we seek to inculcate a spirit of evangelism and discipleship into the total College program. Crossroads students are expected to be concerned for the lost and seek to be soul winners. Students have opportunities to go overseas or to U. S. cities on faculty-led mission teams.

Local Church Oriented

We believe the local church is God's primary agency to minister to a hurting world. Thus, all students and faculty are expected to be faithfully involved in a biblical church. Crossroads is a friend of Bible-believing churches everywhere. We stand with all who love Christ and preach his Word. Though a Baptist school, we are denominationally independent and thus seek to be non-sectarian. Students come from varied church backgrounds.

Practical Career Training

At Crossroads you will gain ministry experiences and needed practical skills through hands-on training and a supervised internship in your chosen vocational field. You will be able to enter or continue in full-time Christian ministry with confidence and effectiveness.

Affordable Costs

Crossroads is one of the most reasonably priced Christian colleges in America. A typical commuter student can go to school full-time for approximately $5300 a year (including tuition, fees, and books). A student can go to school full-time for approximately $9,000 per year and live on campus. Full-time attendance at any other Bible or Christian College across the nation will probably cost between $10,000 and $20,000 a year.

Flexible Scheduling

Day and evening classes are designed for busy, working, adult students as well as recent high school graduates. You don't need to train to serve Christ "some day”; you can train while you are in Christian service!

Location

Indianapolis is at the interstate crossroads of America, easily accessible to/from many of our largest cities. This means ample opportunities for urban outreach/ministry. The location of the campus allows excellent accessibility to nearby restaurants, apartment complexes, a post office, and retail centers, including the Eastgate Consumer Mall and the Washington Square Mall. The eastside Y.M.C.A. is right next door.
