Certificate Programs

Within each academic program there is flexibility to allow for individualized objectives. Most of the courses required in the lower levels are also applicable to the advanced levels. Because Crossroads is a Bible college, each program is structured to give every student a thorough background in Bible and doctrine.

The 37 credit certificate programs have been designed for active laypersons who desire to increase their personal knowledge of the Word and the Christian life. It better equips students to serve as Sunday School teachers, deacons, and as Christian workers in local churches. It is also recommended for spouses of students pursuing one of the baccalaureate degrees.

Upon completion of one of the certificate programs, the student should be able to:

  1. Display a general understanding of the Bible as a whole, and the specific contents of many books and passages.
  2. Demonstrate a general knowledge of functions of the local church, including evangelism, teaching, and missions so as to participate in ministry in these areas.
  3. Display a biblical character and lifestyle through working out the personal implications of biblical and doctrinal content.

The College offers three certificate programs: Certificate in Biblical Studies, Certificate in General Studies, and Certificate in Church Education. Each of the certificates requires a common core (25 hours) of courses including:
