Facilities
The campus of Crossroads Bible College is located at 601 North Shortridge Road. This lovely 43,000 sq. ft. facility is the long-awaited answer to our prayers. The campus is equipped with a beautiful 650-seat auditorium, a gymnasium, seven classrooms, a growing library, some twenty offices for the staff and faculty, a fully equipped kitchen, and a student lounge.
Location
Indianapolis, the twelfth largest city in the United States, has more interstate highways converging on it than any other city in the country. That translates into easy access to Crossroads Bible College. The center of Indiana means the crossroads of the country. More than sixty-five percent of the nation's population lives within a seven hundred mile radius. That means ample opportunity for Christian ministry. There are over 1.5 million people in the greater metropolitan area, twenty-three percent of who are Black or nonwhite ethnic origin. All this adds up to an ideal training center for those interested in urban evangelism and ministry.
“Naptown” as it is often called, is a growing progressive city with traditional values. It is the headquarters of the Kiwanis and American Legion. Recently it has become the amateur athletic capitol of the Country. The Pan-American Games were held here in 1987. Indianapolis boasts the world's largest children's museum, the country's most extensive medical facilities, one of the largest municipal park systems, clean streets, living costs well below those in most other major American cities, low taxes and one of the lowest crime rates among large American cities. It is the home of four large secular colleges and universities and a cradle of the American genetic engineering industry. This “All American City” prides itself on its Hoosier hospitality.
The College is conveniently located on the east side of the “Circle City” approximately five minutes south and east of the Interstate 70 Shadeland Avenue exit. It is just east of Eastgate Shopping Center and readily accessible via public bus service. Other shopping centers are close by. The nearby downtown area offers students the State Capitol Building, the Convention Center (where many religious crusades, national conferences, political events, trade shows, and circuses are held). The area is also host to the Conseco Field House, home of the Pacers professional basketball team, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the world-renowned Indianapolis 500 race. For those interested in the fine arts, the nearby Indianapolis Museum of Arts is one of the country's finest; the State Museum and Indianapolis Symphonic Orchestra provide other culturally enriching opportunities.
